Working with designers and architects is more efficient than ever with today's modeling software.
Files of 3D models can easily be sent to us for molding into the surface of a thick glass panel. Our CNC machines can turn your design into a physical pattern in far less time than traditional prototyping, and with far more accuracy! This saves countless labor hours and eliminates misinterpretations of drawings.
Even if you don't know 3D modeling software, we can work with you to create a virtual prototype from your idea in the form of drawings, photographs, or just a verbal description to begin a virtual 3D model.

CNC is changing the way things are made, and is used in all kinds manufacturing. From 3D printing, to machining of metals, or laser, waterjet and plasma cutting, it is found in all kinds of industries.
Many glass forming practices offer surface detail that is not intentional, but a result of inexpensive and user-friendly materials. We wanted to dictate the design, not let the mold materials dictate.
Using powerful software, we can also quickly adjust the scale of the casting to account for shrinkage, or fit a particular blueprint spec or frame/mounting hardware (where we used to have to start over).
Innovative ways of shaping glass with modern technology
Building on traditions that have changed little in the past 3,500 yrs of glass making, the past 50 years has seen several improvements, but not as much change as we may see in the next 10.
Common reusable molds (Steel/graphite) must have glass removed from the mold at the moment it begins to freeze (about 1000 deg F). Then, it must be immediately and carefully placed into an annealing oven... without breaking at this very vulnerable point. This can be incredibly difficult when the casting is larger than what one person can lift.
We have developed proprietary materials and methods that allow us to reduce much of the risk, and add far more possibilities with the shape and detail of the glass. Most importantly, with our reusable molds, production costs reduce dramatically with multiples.
